“Keep it simple – the wedding is just a party and that something unimportant will go wrong and make a wedding story to tell. The important part is the after. It’s all about every day after together, sharing love support and that feeling when you hold each other: when his touch lights you up and of complete happy trust melting together.” – Kim

Kim and Alan’s family are the most beautiful example of a complex modern family – lots of “step” relatives but impossible to tell where one family stopped and another began.  Over and over we were told how welcomed and loving this family was.

My stepfather Frank had always been very special to me, I had married before and he officiated, so though retired he ‘un-retired’ to marry us. Allan and I both had painful past marriages and we had prayed for love to come back into our lives, we felt we were led to each other. Frank immediately saw that Allan was the answer to my prayers, and was happy to join us together.  We all joked that this time Frank would get it right!

No pressure on Frank then!

Frank was nervous about the ceremony and showed me and Allan about five different versions of the vows. On the actual day I thought we were doing one and Allan thought another and Frank thought we agreed to a different one still.  I wrote up my vows and Allan did not. I said I promised to bring him joy love and dancing. Allan had to off the cuff respond with his own promise vows after being told by Frank he wouldn’t need to!

Kim and Allan told us they wanted a wedding shared with their most loved ones. Nothing fancy but beauty, fun, warm weather, seashore and to share a toast with Crystal Rose – the champagne they drank when Allan proposed in Paris. We love intimate locations like Casa La Roca and we certainly encourage having a wedding in a private villa for small family groups – such a wonderful environment for family vacations reunions.

“The chef service was beyond our expectations, we are a family of great cooks and this wedding at Christmas would be the first in 35 years I did not spend cooking and cleaning! The home more beautiful than the pictures, the staff sweet and helpful.” – Kim

Kim and Allan also had a Trash the Dress session with Sol and a family portrait session – bravo chicos!
