Carla and Chad swapped New Orleans for the Riviera Maya and were blessed with a wedding day rainbow. Like many couples the deciding factor for choosing a destination wedding was the chance to spend several days with loved ones rather than only a few hours of whirlwind reception back home:
“What was most important to us was the bonding and special memories we made in paradise with our closest family and friends! We wanted an intimate setting and we fell in love with the vibe and ambiance of all Secrets Maroma Weddings. Though we looked at several other resorts, nothing compared!” – Carla
Carla included lots of personal touches on her wedding day. Our favorite is definitely her wedding day gift to Chad: an album of photos, for his eyes only! Bravo Carla, way to have your groom running to the altar!
Carla also added a very thoughtful and sentimental element to their ceremony in loving memory of Chad’s parents:
“A special part of the ceremony was at the very beginning when I asked the officiate to remember Chad’s parents, Charles & Joan Tramuta, who have both passed beyond this life. There were 2 white roses on the alter in memory of them. He had no idea I was doing this and was incredibly touched by it.” – Carla
Seems that Carla and Chad couldn’t leave home behind them completely. They took one of the most iconic New Orleans traditions, the “Second Line Parade” and added a dash of Mexican style!
“At a wedding the Second Line Parade signifies the start of a new beginning of life for the bride and groom.” – Carla
Typically the newly married couple leads the second line holding uniquely decorated umbrellas. We decided to put a twist on it and bring the tradition to Mexico in our bride and groom sombreros while Second Lining to the song “Do Whatcha Wanna” by Rebirth Brass Band.”
Congratulations Carla and Chad – laissez les bons temps rouler!!
