Secrets Moxche is a beautifully designed and built resort. It’s also the first of its kind: with a rooftop wedding venue adjoining a reception hall. Secrets Moxche is a relatively compact resort with the most useful rooftop deck ceremony location with an adjoining reception venue on the 10th floor gets the vote for one of the most amazing wedding venues in Playa del Carmen. The Sky Wedding Gazebo is good for up to 60 – 80 guests. If you love ocean views but don’t want sand in your shoes, the Sky Wedding Gazebo could be the best wedding location in Playa del Carmen! The Secrets Moxche Wedding Gazebo Deck is designed specifically for events. Set on the 10th floor, the deck has the highest viewpoint in the entire municipality of Playa del Carmen. There is no other competition for this space in this region. The deck is adjoining to an air-conditioned reception venue “The Sky Salon.” The Sky Salon gives privacy and convenience to a destination wedding with a close group. Secrets Moxche isn’t playing around about getting your feet wet. You will be jumping full-on in! Literally, their slogan is: “Make a splash on your next romantic getaway.” Seven heated pools, Three man-made cenotes, and a Rooftop pool for Preferred Club guests.

The resort features very natural, unbelievable lagoon-style pools. You feel like you’re in a cenote of the Riviera Maya. The freshwater aquifers, and underground rivers are on of the highlights of the state of Quintana Roo Mexico. Secrets Moxche’s rooftop pools and all other areas have a very high-end contemporary finish. The design incorporates features such as reflections, mirrors, and glass. Palms add privacy and enhance the “in-nature feel of swimming in a pool.”

Secrets Moxche features a MEGA theatre. It features an enormous LED screen for digital presentations, special sporting events, and hotel entertainment. The resort is also a quick 10-minute ride from 5th Avenue, a popular tourist district in Playa del Carmen. We love that Secrets Moxche is located in a private neighborhood in a very comfortable community with many amenities.

The Moxche , a local tree to quintana roo, is the tree that the hotel was named after

Out of all the Secrets hotels i’ve photographed, including Secrets Maroma, Secrets the Vine, Secrets Akumal, and other similar hotels, the Secrets Moxche and Secrets Impression (a new trademark for the brand) literally are a first of it’s kind. Aside from the number of organic materials on the property, the design and size is pretty impressive they keep all the design elements consistent throughout the entire property. It’s contemporary style throws a juxtaposition into the equation because the hotel feels like the beach is in front of the lobby. The swimming pool actually has a sandy beach entrance and replicates the features seen commonly in Cenotes. They painted the pool bottom so it is always a mirror for the amazingly blue Caribbean ocean in the background.

The next big observation about Secrets Moxche is the height and views. It is the first hotel in the municipality of Playa del Carmen with 10 floors. The top floor view is by far, unique to itself, no other property in the entire region can compete with. The wedding gazebo deck is almost like a super hyper mega wow going to be in high demand structure because it is piggybacked by a huge reception hall so groups, weddings, and events all can take place on this epic Terraza and AC reception hall, literally they are connected so no logistical big moves between wedding venues around the property if height and epic view omg wow is what you are looking for.

The hotel features many elements that come from the cenotes, famous in the region. I also am in love with plants and noticed the amount of new plants installed around all these natural features is quite impressive. After just one rainy season, this place is going to booom. The gardens are lush and I love the “Moxche” is actually a local huge tree with buttressing roots hanging roots that allow the trees to become massive and create incredible habitat. The property has a large number of these trees throughout, as an homage to the naming of the hotel, Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen.

La palabra que viene a mi mente para describir Secrets Moxche es “Majestuoso” los detalles! dicen que el diablo esta en los detalles. Las maderas abundan, hacen referencia a Moxche que significa raiz.

Las vistas!!! Son espectaculares, desde las diferentes terrazas en alto, uno ve tanto mar! tanto turquesa que el WOW surge al instante.

Que decir de las terrazas especiales para bodas!!! La vista!! Los detalles! y la armonia, bien pensada practicidad tambien al ofrecer terrazas conectadas con salones interiores de enormes ventanales, que garantizan, la vista!! y el refugio del Sol y el calor.

La zona media del hotel, simula una gran laguna, imagine de inmediato que vendran las garzas… y soñe desde ya en las sesiones subacuaticas que podremos hacer en esos espacios.

Areas de cenotes hechos por el hombre artista, ya lo vi! todo iluminado de noche, ambientes misticos y elegantes.

Que cantidad de historias de vida, de amor, de nuevos comienzos, de celebraciones vera este lugar.

Las habitaciones son de gran lujo, los tonos madera, el olor a nuevo. Elegancia, organica. Que placer!!!
