ABC Congreso de Bodas & Hacienda Teya Yucatan
Sol Tamargo, the Del Sol Photography co-founder, was lucky to receive a personal invitation to the Congreso de Bodas and the ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) in beautiful Merida, Mexico., Yucatan. #ExperienciasInfinitas
The event had more 600 companies from across Latin America, mainly from the event and wedding planning industry. All the guest speakers for this event were incredible! One that really stood out to us (also one of Sol’s favorites) was Ceci Johnson from New york. She inspired us with her success stories and colorful personality.
As part of the convention experience, participants could take a tour around some of the most important Haciendas in the region.
Sol visited Hacienda Teya and had the opportunity to photograph bridal portraits and a trash the dress session with a gorgeous bride around the stunning property.
Hacienda Teya was established in 1683 and has been restored to offer visitors gourmet food in their famous restaurant, and of course, events and weddings. Carolina and Veronica make it their mission to bring the magic out to make it a very unique setting for a Hacienda wedding or special event. The Hacienda is only an easy 2.5 hour highway drive from Playa del Carmen and it’s right outside Merida City.
Besides the gorgeous colonial buildings and beautiful gardens, there’s a very special ballroom with a pool inside … We asked Sol to share her experience at the convention her exploration of the Hacienda Teya:
“When I saw the pool inside the ballroom, I knew I had to take pictures with the bride in it… so, I send the mother of the bride and my mother (They were both helping me with the shoot) to have a beer… and my and my fabulous sister who did the bride makeup Sara Tamargo from ST Makeup, took the bride into the ballroom. I promise she would get awesome pictures , and she was hot anyway… so in to the pool we went!”
“My special THANK YOU to Kitzia Morales (founder of Love Mexico) who personally invited me to this convention, and after seeing what I did at Hacienda Teya told me: “Sol… you are changing lives” Veronica and Carolina, owners at Hacienda Teya are working hard to position the Hacienda as a great venue for weddings. With the help of these images and the ones we will continue producing we will show the world what an amazing venue for weddings this is.
