We wanted to spend more than just one day with our closest friends and family. It was so amazing to spend the week with the ones we love celebrating life, love, sun, sand and good tequila. “We chose Barcelo Maya Palace for our destination wedding venue because Britt and her family had vacationed there before. They fell in love with the resort and Mayan people. We wanted a ceremony space that overlooked the ocean and a open-air reception. The Gazebo and Coral grill were the perfect spot! “The most memorable part of our day other than our ceremony was definitely the mariachi band during cocktail hour on the balcony overlooking the ocean at sunset. We wanted to incorporate Mexican culture into our wedding. The Mariachi band really made our dream of a Mexican wedding come true. They were a huge hit with all of our guests and they were so much fun to photograph with!”

OUR favorite part of Britt and Tyler’s wedding was their tiny wedding crasher, a possum know here as zarigueyas! The little guy made a tour of the whole Coral Grill followed by a team of the restaurant staff who captured him with a tablcloth before releasing him back safely into a more natural habitat!
