The most amazing part of our day was when we both said our “I do”  and being at reception with family and friends.  The highlight of the reception was when  2 of our close friends said a short speech at the end of the night. It was very special to hear their thoughts.

Sol mentioned in particular the story of Matt’s smile :) She said that Jennifer mentioned that Matt is not “a smiler” and that Sol reassured you guys that that’s really fine! We want people to be their authentic selves in their wedding photos, if you’re a serious person that’s perfect because that’s you. It’s really important to us that we don’t try to change your personality for a photo!!  Having said that Sol is proud that she has a photo of Matt genuinely smiling :)

Jennifer told us:  He’s always had a strong character!  He says it was the best day of my life & to watch Jennifer be so happy on her day made me happy.

Some important advice from Jennifer and Matt:  The time we went was rainy season, definitely consider the dry season and we got extremely lucky on our day!  One thing the rain can promise us is a lush jungle and green mountain backgrounds.  Also the rivers are very active and all the waterfalls are full on!  This is the eco-tourism part of Costa Rica that everyone is so excited about.  Really, the season for adventure in Costa Rica is ALL THE TIME.  Average temps 73 Degrees.

At the end of the day rain has always been an element that we embrace and sometimes, epic clouds and sunsets happen because of the moisture and clouds in the sky. After-all, you will never see a rainbow without a prediction of rain.
