Del Sol: You had an amazing wedding group, from the bridesmaids and groomsman to your Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority sisters…
“Our friends and family mean so much to us. Our wedding party was comprised of our siblings and very best friends from our childhood. We wanted the people closest to us and who know us the best to share in our special day. From the groomsmen to the bridesmaids to the hostesses, we knew that we wanted the people who love us most to be apart of our very special day.”
Here we have to mention Fareeda’s Mom’s speech. Parents often leave us with the most valuable reflections.
“There is no magic box, that box does not have a recipe for love in it. You have to put everything that you want into your marriage into the box. If you want love you have to put love in there. If you want romance you have to put romance in the box.If you want peace happiness and joy, you have to put all of those things in that box. And then when you think you’ve run out of those very important things, reach into that box and pull out what you need.” – Fareeda’s Mom
Del Sol: We love that you included all your kids in your sand unity ceremony.
“We have children from previous relationships and we are committed to blending our families and sharing the love we have for one another with our children. The sand ceremony was perfect for us because it symbolizes the many layers that we bring to our family, while showing our marriage bonds us together.”

Del Sol: We have to mention you guys STYLE! From the matching Louboutins to your wedding dresses and even jumping the broom, accessories and details had an important part of your day.
“Tim is very low key whereas, I’m over the top. Tim totally surprised me with his shoes. I had no idea that he had them until after the ceremony. It was a nice surprise. It’s an African-American tradition for couples to jump the broom. This was a must-do for our ceremony. We had a custom broom designed to match our wedding colors and it turned out perfectly. Jumping the broom symbolizes our union.”

“We love Mexico! We would do it all over again if we could!”
