Sarai and Lamar are a super special couple with a true strong and really obvious love connection between them. Apart from their gorgeousness there are a few special things to note about their cenote and beach trash the dress. We love that Sarai and Lamar embraced Sol’s love of the sunrise and get up extra early to catch that magic light. We also love that they embraced the SEXY with some boudoir beauty to wrap up their session.
Most of all though we absolutely applaud Lamar for going underwater for his bride as he can’t swim and is actually really afraid of the water! Love really does conquer all :)
“Everyone that knows me asks me how Sarai persuaded me to da a trash the dress. To this day I still don’t how she talked me into doing it lol! I just knew that even though I’ve had bad experiences in the water, I couldn’t let the fear of it consume me and be the reason why I never got in the water again. I figured what better way to get used to the water again, than to do an underwater photoshoot with some of the best photographers, who also happen to be pretty damn good swimmers!”- Lamar
“That still doesn’t mean I wasn’t nervous. My feelings were really all over the place the morning of the photoshoot. One minute I felt nervous, the next minute I felt excited and anxious. Regardless of whatever I was feeling I knew I had to keep a clear positive outlook on everything otherwise I would of talked myself out it.”
“The trash the dress was more easy and fun than I imagined it would be. After telling Sol and Polly about my background they did an amazing job making sure I was comfortable and had a good time. When we arrived at the cenote location, they gave me a pair of goggles and allowed me to practice going underwater until I was comfortable and ready to shoot. This was the one thing that I believed helped me the most.”
“I was so comfortable that at times, I forgot that I didn’t know how to swim : )” – Lamar
“Sol proposed a sunrise beach session and we loved the idea of getting up early. We had been wanting to watch the sunrise since we arrived in Mexico and hadn’t been able to do so other mornings thanks to all the good tequila from previous nights lol. It was so beautiful watching the sunrise while playing in the sand and water. Definitely worth it!”
“I’ve always wanted to do some boudoir photos. I had seen pictures from similar shoots that Del Sol had done and was thrilled to do some whenever I got the chance to. It was fun to be able to live in the moment and take off my dress underwater and slip on stockings and suspenders thanks to all the help from Polly! lol. All in all, please feel free to share these photos. This is ART, and art should not be hidden, it should be shared for all eyes to see! :)“- Sarai
“Overall, if we had to pick one word to describe the whole experience we would pick “Awesome”. Our favorite part was the pizza rolls! lol Just kidding, The whole day was great! Truly a once in a lifetime experience that everyone who gets married should try. And if they do try it, they should go with Del Sol Photography! :)”
