Why Choose Xcaret Park for your destination wedding?
“Xcaret will transport our guests into a unique little world…” – Alex + Rick
Being such a photogenic location with a variety of settings, Xcaret Park weddings are absolute eye-candy! With a variety of incredible wedding venues and luxury services available Xcaret weddings are out of this world. With a brand new onsite Hotel Mexico opening in 2018, Xcaret Park weddings go from strength to strength every year.
Civil ceremonies held here by a Justice of the Peace are internationally recognized. You can have a religious or spiritual ceremony where a minister of the faith of your choice will bless the union. There can be held in the Natural Pools area or the Archaeological Zones.
They also offer a symbolic, non-legal Mayan Ceremony. Here a Mayan Shaman performs the ceremony in his native language, letting you and your guests experience the magic of the region’s pre-Hispanic roots and traditions. These are also held in the Natural Pools or Archaeological Zones.
If you’re looking to hold a Catholic ceremony, Xcaret offers two incredible chapels with the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel and the Chapel of Guadalupe. Both are officially recognized as chapels and will be performed by a Catholic Priest.
Xcaret Park Weddings – Catholic wedding ceremonies
The underground cenote Guadalupe Chapel features 20th-century neoclassic architecture and Mayan influences. Like out of a fairytale, you say your vows under a massive Ceiba tree, considered the “tree of life” in Mayan culture. The alter itself is surrounded by cenote water. Joining your guests in the pews are painted cutouts of important people from Mexico’s history. We are proud of our photo from Savi and Robert’s wedding, featured in the “Stunning Ceremony Setups” post at Huffington Post.
“Picking Xcaret and the Guadalupe Chapel were probably two of the biggest and easiest decisions we made. From the moment we saw photos online, we instantly fell in love and knew it would be difficult (impossible) to choose any other locations. Both the church and La Isla are beautiful in pictures, but they are absolutely breathtaking in person! We were in complete awe!
“Capilla de Guadalupe is one of the most unique catholic chapels we have ever seen! It is difficult to describe the level of emotion you feel when you first open the doors to the chapel. The gorgeous altar almost appears to be floating on the cenote. The energy felt when you enter is truly indescribable.” – Sabrina + Michael
The Saint Francis of Assisi Chapel is found at the highest point of Xcaret Park. This beautiful chapel offers unforgettable views of the Caribbean sea and the jungle landscape.
Xcaret Park Weddings – Civil, symbolic, spiritual or other religious wedding ceremonies
A favorite location for any kind of non-catholic ceremony is the Natural Pools. this is a formation of natural rocky pools set up with a gorgeous stone altar. Here you can get married with up 100 guests while enjoying views of the Caribbean Sea.
Another stunning venue, especially at night time, is El Caracol: a descending spiral with a fire pit in it’s center.
Wedding parties often pass through here on the way to the reception at La Isla Restaurant and are welcomed with blasts from the conches of Xcaret’s famous pre-hispanic dancers. Alexis and Jim had a stunning night time wedding ceremony in El Caracol. We’re proud to have one of their pictures featured in the Huffington Post!
“Xcaret recommended we hire the conch blowers for our walk from the church to La Isla and we are SO happy we did! The procession from the church to the reception, walking down the spiral, is one of our favorite parts of the ceremony! Everyone still talks about it!” – Sabrina + Michael
Xcaret also has a variety of Archeological Sites that have gathered throughout centuries of Mayan history. These cultural landmarks can serve as a stunning background to your ceremony.
Xcaret Park Weddings – Reception Venues
The second largest venue for a wedding reception at Xcaret is their replica of an old Henequen Hacienda house. It is intricately designed and decorated to match its 2oth century roots and can host up to 550 guests.
The Vino de Mexico Wine Cellar captures 413 years of Mexican wine history and culture, including the first Mexican produced wine and also the oldest in America. In this legendary location, you’ll discover over 150 Mexican wine labels. Here you can host an intimate ceremony of 22 guests. The wine cellar is also a rainy day plan B ceremony location, as you can see in Chantal + Rich’s rainy Xcaret wedding
“Some say “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!”…We say “when life gives you rain, head to the Wine Cellar!” – Chantal
On their massive grounds they have a selection of fine restaurants to suit your style and needs. Dos Playas features views of the beach and Manatee Lagoon. La Laguna is surrounded by water, in front of Manatee Lagoon and Jaguar Island. La Concina is full of the traditions, colors and flavors of Mexico. La Caleta sits in front of an inlet, providing you with a great view and sometimes sea turtles as your guests.
La Isla is a wonderful natural cave turned into a restaurant. Following a spiral path surrounded by water, you’ll find a guiding flame. There you’ll enter the cave through grottos and a crystal bridge with an underground river running under it. At the end, you’ll find an massive space covered by a traditional thatched “palapa” roof that can hold an incredible 600 guests.
