National Geographic Traveler Magazine Cover – Del Sol Photography
Recently we visited the amazing city that time has forgotten, Havana, Cuba. As fate would have it, we were chasing a couple in love on their honeymoon. #TravelForLove As pure travel photography lovers, we toured the city and shot just about everything in front of our eyes.
One of our favorite shots of the couple was them taking a ride in this bicycle taxi down the streets of Havana and in a fleeting moment they crossed paths with a classic car.
Havana, As National Geographic calls it “America’s surprise comeback city” has such stock of eye candy to photograph. Every turn, every corner, every person was a delight to frame with our lenses.
After our shoot, we received an email from our friend Dan Westergen, the Photo Editor of the National Geographic Traveler Magazine asking if he could review our entire portfolio. They were looking for a salsa dancing photo… Well, the rest is history as we were honored that Dan chose one of Sol Tamargo’s images as the COVER shot !
It is a huge honor to join the ranks among some of the worlds finest photojournalists whose images are featured on the cover of National Geographic Magazines.
