An elopement is such a special event. As photographers we feel genuinely honored to be present. The couple, the officiant and the photographer: 4 people to bear witness to that moment, in front of the crashing ocean, and the blue sky :)
We asked Kristen to tell us more about her and Ryan’s elopement experience, starting with the ceremony created for Kristen and Ryan by our wonderful officiant Lorena.
Del Sol: Kristen, we LOVE the ceremony that Lorena created for you and Ryan. You spoke to Lorena about your expectations before you came to Mexico and she surprised you on the day. Please tell us more about what her ceremony meant to you.
“I initially told Lorena I grew up in a Catholic home and Ryan and I go to a Christian church, but we are not the type of people that needed the traditional Catholic wedding. We both love God, but didn’t necessarily need scripture to make it special.”

Del Sol: Why did you choose Mi Amor for your Tulum elopement?
“We traveled to Tulum because we decided to elope for our wedding. We chose Tulum because we heard such beautiful things about it.”

Del Sol: What’s your top destination elopement advice?
“To be honest, I was so nervous at the idea of planning a big wedding. It gave me anxiety thinking about it. Our elopement was just as special, just as perfect and we have the most gorgeous photos in the world to always look back at that I was able to share with family on my social media pages.”
