Del Sol: It’s not uncommon for brides to change clothes for their reception. Rarely do they don Daisy Dukes and a tank top – love your style BOTH of you! Talk to us about your outfit change :)

“Oh, this has to be one of our guests’ favorite memory as well!  Our friend and DJ, Alex Rosen was just absolutely killing it with the music and everyone was dancing non-stop, it was by far one of the most fun dance parties I’ve even been a part of.  And with that, it’s July in Mexico, the humidity was high and with all of the dancing, a few people had asked if it would be ok if they changed into shorts.”

“I did not plan another outfit outside of my wedding dress and at that point I thought “You know what, I want to change too and really take this dance party to the next level”.  When I told Jedd he was 100% on board.” – Jennifer

“My best friend Melissa had showed up with the “Mrs.” tank top as a fun gift at the wedding and Jedd’s jersey was his groom’s gift from me (He is a HUGE fan of all Wisconsin sports and has been talking about wanting that Bucks jersey for a year).  We came back to the reception in our casual outfits and at that point, EVERYONE went back and changed clothes and the last 2 hours of the reception were just as I expected, one of the most fun parties I’ve ever attended that just happened to be my Wedding!”

Del Sol: Why did you choose El Dorado Maroma?

Jennifer: “I always pictured having a beach wedding and Playa del Carmen is one of my favorite places.  There was no question as to where we were having our wedding. Now that it’s over, we would not have changed a single thing!”

“I was looking for a smaller more intimate location. I wanted our guests to feel like we had our own personal resort for the wedding weekend.  Playa del Carmen is one of my favorite places in the world and I was also looking for close proximity to that amazing city.”

“The El Dorado Maroma was not only beautiful but the staff was extremely accommodating to our every need. Separate of that the wedding team knocked it out of the park! I had a vision in my head of how everything would come together for the weekend and for the wedding. My expectations were blown away.
