Mahekal Beach Wedding – Sasha and Scott
It’s amazing LOVE and travel brought Sasha and Scott to have a Mahekal Beach Wedding in Playa del Carmen. We asked them why they love to travel and choose a destination wedding!
#Travelforlove -Mahekal Beach Wedding in Playa del Carmen.
Scottie and I have always had a passion for travel and adventure. It seemed only fitting that we share that with our family and friends as we took our vows. So many of our friends used the word “magic” when describing not just the wedding but the whole week we spent it together. This stuck with me because it really was. You could feel the love from every person that shared in that day with us. – Sasha
I was very surprised to see something new and fresh at Sasha and Scott’s wedding. One of their close friends, Louie officially plan to read and was ordained to marry them. By total surprise, Louie had secretly passed out envelopes to every guest, all bridesmaids and groomsmen with a very special note. -Matt
Louie arranged to ordain EVERY person in attendance.
Midway through the ceremony, Louie did something amazing. He had previously created an email account for ALL the wedding guests, using some of their credentials and suddenly, everyone had a little “Ordained Credential”certificate. All the guests read aloud as Sasha and Scott were joined in marriage. This has to be one of coolest moments during a wedding ceremony that I’ve witnessed in a long long time. The look on everyone’s face is so priceless. – Matt
One of the special touches Sasha and Scott used for their wedding we really loved as a nice touch. We loved how they made their vows together. They told us they used the words from a Native American poem to write their vows.
Now you will feel no storm, for I will be shelter for you. Now you will feel no cold, for I will be warmth for you. Now you will feel no loneliness, for I will be companion for you. Now you will feel no sorrow, for I will be comfort for you. We are two bodies, but there is one life before us – Native American Poem
We chose a Mahekal beach wedding because it didn’t feel like a resort. It felt wild and it also felt like a village, like a home or community for our family and friends. It is hard to have the feeling of a small boutique property anymore in Playa del Carmen. Mahekal is actually a very large hotel that feels small, because its buildings are no more than 2 levels and everything has the Palapa vibe.
