Del Sol: It’s amazing LOVE brought you here! Why did you Travel for Love?

“Traveling back to the Riviera Maya held so many memories for us. It was our first vacation when we started dating and we felt like it was where our story began. It only made sense to travel back to open a new chapter in our lives. Although some parts of it were challenging (like traveling with a gown and a toddler), we would do it all over again.”

Del Sol: Both of you are from Mexico! How amazing was having wedding portraits and family photos in the Riviera Maya inspired by your Mexican backgrounds?

“We are both very proud of our Mexican backgrounds, we wanted our pictures to represent the present but also our past. We hope its something our daughter could look at and be proud of as well.”

“The Riviera Maya has so many beautiful places it was honestly a difficult decision to narrow it down.”

Del Sol: We loved that you included your daughter Valentina in the photo session.

“The most amazing part of our photo session was including our daughter. She is the best part of our lives and I cant imagine the photo session without her.”

Del Sol: How was your experience with the del Sol team?

“I would advise any couple that is getting married to give it a chance. Mexico is a beautiful county that sometimes gets a bad reputation because of the media. If we got a chance to do it all over again, we would pick Mexico all over again. Plus, Mexican food is delicious!”

“I will be the first one to say that we were skeptical because of the distance. But every email was replied in a timely manner and that was very comforting. When the big day finally arrived, our photographer greeted us with a smile and made us feel comfortable. She remembered all details about the type of photos we wanted. After the photo session, we had brunch with Valeria as she told us about her journey as a photographer. It really felt like we knew her way before that day.

“Mahekal Beach Resort had the perfect Mexican inspired backgrounds we were looking for, direct access to the beach and beautiful gardens. We knew it was the ideal resort to have a variety of pictures. The backgrounds around the resort were colorful and vibrant.”

Del Sol: How was your experience in Mexico – bearing in mind the current travel advisories against Mexico?

“We have traveled to Mexico several times in the last couple of years and never had any concerns. So this time it was an easy decision.
