Beach, Garden, Terrace and Chapel Venues
One of the real bonuses of Dreams Tulum is the choice of destination wedding venues. Dreams Tulum offers multiple beach and garden locations for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hours. The new Sunset terrace with its 360 views overlooking the ocean is becoming a favorite new location. The colonial-style chapel is wonderful for couples looking for a religious or Catholic wedding ceremony venue – all without leaving the resort. Dreams Tulum of course offers ballrooms as an air-conditioned and/or wet weather option. They also cleverly convert areas like the lobby terrace and the convention center terrace into cocktail hour or even ceremony locations.
AAA Four Diamond Award-Winning Resort
Dreams Tulum is the only family-friendly all-inclusive resort in Tulum. It’s an hour and a half-hour drive from Cancun airport and 40 minutes from Playa del Carmen. The location is close to the historical town of Tulum makes it a great jumping-off point for exploring the Riviera Maya. The AAA Four Diamond Award-winning resort has 432 guest rooms and suites. Not to mention world-class beaches, colorful colonial-style architecture, and 44 acres of lush gardens. Dreams Tulum has all the advantages of an all-inclusive without feeling huge: it’s charming and friendly. The resort also has an “adults only” section so even though it’s family-friendly, you can be guaranteed some “grown-up” time.

Tulum Ruins Archaeological site
The Tulum ruins are pretty much a must see if you’re staying at Dreams Tulum – they’re right next door. Our top tip is to get there early to avoid the crowds – or organize a special sunrise tour – like Crystal and Este did.

Dreams Tulum Beaches
We have to make a special mention of the Dreams Tulum beaches – some of the best in the world. We often talk about “Tulum style” beaches here because, well, they’re the best! Wider, whiter and much quieter than in Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Look north and south along the Dreams Tulum beach and you’ll see the sand disappear straight to the horizon. Literally, there is no property close in sight to Dreams Tulum and almost 5 kilometers of beaches. With no neighboring resorts Dreams Tulum’s beaches feel private, just for you.
The Cenotes
Dreams Tulum is also right next door to the best cenotes. The cenotes are known for scuba diving and snorkeling – or a trash the dress session! There are also gorgeous freshwater inlets and lagoons at Muyil, Calleta Tankha and Casa Cenote. Don’t forget the Sian Ka’an Biosphere, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean.
“We loved the Dreams Tulum location, the beautiful quiet beach and the wedding packages were amazing. The part that sold us was the endless wedding options, inclusions and wedding service. Everyone was from Dreams Tulum and they were OUTSTANDING!” – Candace + Rob
Why choose Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa for your destination wedding or event?
One word – Variety! This luxury all inclusive hotel offers a wide choice of wedding packages that can be personalized. They have so many different locations to offer. The word-class beaches are a top choice for weddings but the colonial style on-site chapel is a gorgeous option for traditional religious wedding ceremonies. The bright blue exterior chapel walls and the vintage wooden doors are authentic and charmingly Mexican in style – in contrast to many of the ultra modern style wedding chapels in the Riviera Maya and Cancun.
Dreams Tulum destination wedding receptions can be on the beach, the gardens, poolside, under a palapa or inside. Dreams Tulum have even added a new terrace location overlooking the ocean. The resort has recently refurbished kitchens and the food is great. The wedding menus will satisfy even the most particular foodies. They have an extensive wine cellar and their on-site sommeliers will assist in choosing your perfect vintage.
The hotel stands out as one of the very special hotels for destination weddings in the Riviera Maya for excellent photos in the RAIN. We have photographed many images in the rain at Dreams Tulum that have been featured in our collection of images “Why rain on your wedding day is awesome”

If you want to have a Catholic wedding in the Riviera Maya, Dreams Tulum offers a great option. The Chapel is ALSO available for symbolic and legal weddings! The blue, colonial-style chapel seats 40, is air-conditioned and is only steps from the beach, cafes, and bars. The Chapel has recently been refurbished in include the “annex” which provides overflow seating for 80 for the ceremonies bringing the total capacity to 120! The Annex can also be used as a backup venue in case of rain, a cocktail hour, or an intimate dinner venue.
“The chapel at Dreams Tulum was such an amazing venue for our traditional Catholic wedding. The simple beauty evokes the style of the Spanish missions that we grew to love while living in San Antonio, Texas. It is an intimate space that perfectly accommodated our fifty guests. I think everyone also enjoyed the indoor, temperature-controlled environment that gave them a reprieve from the plentiful amounts of sun that typically accompany the beautiful Mexican Caribbean.” – Karina
